Our last semi-finalist for our promotional giveaway is LT’s Autism Awareness Voice, founded by the Rucki family and Tacti family, whose goal is to help local families recognize the signs and symptoms of Autism. The LT stands for Luke and Tori, who were diagnosed with autism early in their childhood. Their mission is to help families affected by Autism to get the necessary services and therapies to help their child’s development. LT’s Autism Awareness Voice holds several fundraisers each year to raise money and awareness, including an annual softball tournament.
According to Autismspeaks.org, “It is estimated that one in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. An estimated 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide are affected by autism. Government statistics suggest the prevalence rate of autism is increasing 10-17 percent annually. There is not established explanation for this increase, although improved diagnosis and environmental influences are two reasons often considered.”
If LT’s Autism Awareness Voice is selected as the winner of our promotional giveaway, their goal for their redesigned website is to “improve awareness and empower those affected by autism and become advocates for those in need of support.” To learn more about their inspirational cause, visit their website or Facebook page.
