Our fourth semi-finalist for our promotional giveaway would make Pete the Pup from the Little Rascals proud.  Out of the Pits, Inc., founded in 1994 and located in Albany, NY, seeks to educate the public about the true nature of the American Pit Bull Terrier and to make them aware that it used to be one of America’s favorite breed of dogs.  Out of the Pits main focus is education, visiting dozens of schools with certified therapy Pit Bulls to teach humane education throughout the New York Capital District, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Out of the Pits is also a rescue organization and has successfully found homes for over one thousand dogs and has helped many more stay with their owners.  In addition, they provide owner counseling, free spay and neutering of pit bulls and pit bull mixes, educational clinics, therapy dogs to comfort those in hospitals and nursing homes, and assistance to animals shelters nationwide to help place pit bulls in loving homes.

If selected as the winner of our promotional giveaway, Out the Pits, Inc.’s goals for their new website is to make it more interactive, easy to update, and an educational resource to highlight the positive aspects of the Pit Bull breed.
